Rajab Abdul Kahali, better known as Harmonize, was born on March 15, 1991, in Mtwara, Tanzania. His family was not wealthy, so from childhood, he quickly had to learn the lessons of life. Music has always been a big part of Tanzanian culture, but at the time, it was not yet his hobby or passion.

Harmonize entered Mkundi Secondary School, which he graduated from in 2009. After studying, he decided not to continue on this path and went to Dar es Salaam where he tried to earn at least some money. To do this, Harmonize was forced to sell products in street markets.

Of course, this life wasn't easy at all, so he began to look for other ways to build his own life. During this period, Harmonize became actively interested in music, namely the traditional Tanzanian genre Bongo Flava. This style has become a combination of traditional and well-known hip-hop and lesser-known Tanzanian styles such as Dansi or Taarab. Often, in addition to these two styles in Bongo Flava, you can hear elements of reggae or afrobeats.

When Harmonize turned 20, he decided to get serious about music and release his own songs. Thus, he released his first song in 2011. Of course, as in most cases, almost no one knew about the young performer. At this stage, many novice artists give up and go to traditional work, but Harmonize was not going to give up. He released new songs over and over again despite the lack of any attention. This continued for almost four years until, in 2015, he was noticed by Diamond Platnumz.

This artist really helped launch Harmonize's career and show a massive number of people what he is capable of. In order to make the most of the artist's potential, Diamond Platnumz helped him move to South Africa, where Harmonize songs began to gain popularity.

2016 was probably the most significant year in the artist's career. The first considerable recognition he received after the release of the song "Bado" which he performed with Diamond Platnumz. The song became so popular that it even brought Harmonize its first award, namely the WatsUp TV Africa Music Video Awards in the Best African Newcomer Video category. He received two more awards in the same year, namely Best New Artist on African Entertainment Awards and Best Newcomer on African Muzik Magazine Awards. After such a large-scale recognition, Harmonize opened the way to big business.

Since then, Harmonize has been steadily gaining popularity. In 2017 and 2018, he managed to release a huge number of singles and work in collaborations with many famous and little-known artists. Among them, you will see Rich Mavoko, Korede Bello, Diamond Platnumz, Rayvanny, Sarkodie, Mrisho Mpoto, Marina, Skales, Seyi Shay, and others.

Harmonize released its first EP called Afro Bongo in 2019. It included four songs, namely "Kainama" (feat. Burna Boy & Diamond Platnumz), "Show Me What You Got" (feat. Yemi Alade), "Tepete" (feat. Mr Eazi), and "Niteke".

In the same year, Harmonize released his first album, "Kwa Ngwaru", which can be more accurately called a collection of the best songs in his career. A year later, the artist released his second album called "Afro East". It includes 16 tracks, 7 of which are made in collaboration with artists such as Mr Blue, Morgan, Lady Jaydee, Phyno, Yemi, Eazi and Skales.

In 2021, Harmonize held its first virtual concert called Live From Tanzania. A huge number of people took part in the preparation of this event, but it was worth it because the spectacle turned out fantastic.

Of course, we will touch on Harmonize's personal life a bit. Almost since 2015, the artist has been dating Sarah Michelotti, whose relationship has grown into a marriage they entered into in 2019. Unfortunately, only a year later, the couple divorced. It is now known that Harmonize dated with the famous Tanzanian actress Frida Kajala Masanja. In addition to romantic relationships, it is also known that Harmonize has an illegitimate child.

Harmonize is currently actively developing its music career. In 2021, he has already released more than 13 songs and is not going to stop. A massive increase in popularity fell on his social networks. The Harmonize YouTube channel, like its Facebook, already has 2.7 million subscribers, and Instagram has more than 7 million. Of course, this number is the best indication that the constant desire to achieve more, even with minimal chances, leads to success. The main thing is to believe that everything will work out.
