Edward Okpa is a Businessman and Former Dallas Mayor candidate. He is the principal of The OKPA Co., LLC, specializing in commercial real estate appraisal and international trade consulting. Ed’s father advised him, “When you get to America, it’s not about your degree, not about the money you make. It’s about relationships.” In 2003, Ed ran for Mayor of Dallas, emphasizing public safety, budget management, job creation, neighborhood revitalization, international trade, and education. He began his U.S. journey as a busboy at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, a role he humorously misunderstood as “boss-boy,” thinking he would be supervising others. In 2021, Governor Greg Abbott appointed him to the State Securities Board, recognizing his expertise in real estate and finance.
